Notarization
Requirements

Please review the information below to ensure a quick & efficient notary experience.

It is essential that you read and review your documents before your notary appointment. If you do not understand the documents then you must contact an attorney for clarification. LXE Virtual's notary is NOT an attorney and cannot give legal advice or accept fees for legal advice.

Required to Complete

Please make sure your document contains an oath/affirmation/acknowledgement. You can find examples by CLICKING HERE

There should be no blank lines or spaces for information to be added after the document(s) has been notarized. The only exception would be spaces reserved for government officials, which usually state "For Official Use Only" or something similar

ID Requirment

A valid, government issued photo ID is required for the notary to confirm, with reasonable certainty, that the signer matches the presented ID. If the notary cannot reasonably confirm the ID of the signer then the notarization will not be completed. Please contact us in advance if you have questions about what is acceptable identification or if you do not have identification.

Witnesses

Please check in advance if your document(s) will require witnesses so that you can arrange for them to be present. Witnesses must also have required ID. We strongly advise you NOT use a relative as a witness, and in some cases it is illegal to use a relative. We encourage you to consult a licensed attorney before using a relative as a witness. Please note we can provide a witness, for an additional fee, if given prior notice.

Foreign Language

Per the State of Florida "Certifying a translation is not an authorized duty of a Florida notary public. However, you may notarize the signature of the translator on an affidavit where the translator certifies and swears to the accuracy of his or her translation"
